With its spectacular large open landscapes in Central London, Kew Gardens is well suited to a variety of outdoor events including concerts, theatre and fireworks. Kew's annual music festival, Summer Swing, in July, attracts a devoted audience and a glittering array of popular performers including Jools Holland.

Each summer at Kew is a time of specially themed horticultural displays, exhibitions, installations and family activities: a celebration from the end of May to September with features in all parts of the Gardens. There are numerous treats for families throughout the year, such as the display of thousands of pumpkins, gourds and squashes during Autumn Cornucopia at Kew.
Christmas is a time of spectacular lighting, music, Father Christmas, and rides on a traction steam engine along Kew's famous Broadwalk. Banish the cold and grey of February and March with an easy winter getaway to

the Princess of Wales Conservatory and experience the spectacularly exotic displays of the annual Orchid Festival.

Spring at Kew is when the Gardens spring to life in a riot of vibrant colour and activity including Family Easter and Woodland Wonders where Morris Dancers perform outside Queen Charlotte's Cottage during the annual celebration of bluebells and woodland skills. The annual programme of events is available on Kew's website where you'll find many reasons to return to Kew again and again.
