This house was opened in 1952 to display specimens of Australia's flora. About 40 years later it was transformed into the Evolution House which tells the story of 3,500 million years of plant evolution. A dramatic landscape and the sounds of pre-historic creatures is the perfect environment for the living relatives of such ancestral plants as cycads, ferns and mosses.
